President of Russia Dmitriy Medvedev and the King of Spain Juan Carlos I have announced the Year of Russia in Spain and the Year of Spain in Russia. The exchange program includes tours of world famous creative teams from Russia and Spain, musical performances and exhibitions, conferences, and investment forums. Dmitriy Medvedev and Juan Carlos I visited one of the first events in the Year of Russia and Spain - the international exhibition of art canvases from the collection of the National Prado museum in the State Hermitage Museum. These include paintings by Hieronymus Bosch, El Greco, Peter Paul Rubens, Diego Velázquez and Francisco de Goya. The paintings from the State Hermitage collection will be exhibited during the Year of Russia in Spain at the Prado Museum. |
