An early ending of the overhaul of Frunzenskaya Metro Station on Sokolnicheskaya line will be a New Year present for Moscow citizens. Sergey Sobyanin solemnly opened the renewed station. Muscovites will start using the station on 29 December. The capacity of the station will increase at rush hours because of renovation. The overhaul started in January 2016. Since then, secure and cost-effective new escalators replaced old ones, moreover, the forth escalator was installed. The entrance hall was given back its authentic appearance, cash and machine halls were renovated. The overhaul was supposed to finish in the 12-month period, but constructors, electricians, engineers, mechanics and other specialists worked very hard.
