On the 29th of May “Gelendzhik Airport“ will accept the first flight from Moscow which will be made by "Aeroflot" company, and next day "Avianova" company will start its flights in this direction. The new airport is completely ready for passengers. Until the constant passenger terminal which opening is planned for 2013 will not be constructed, passengers will use the temporary terminal constructed on the basis of the cargo terminal. Its carrying capacity is 140 persons per hour. It is planned that within the first month the airport will accept 3-4 flights in a day, and in July this number will increase to 7-9 flights.
