June, 5-15 2011 the Hotel Baltschug Kempinski Moscow will be hosting the personal exhibition of the Spring Candidate 2011 for the Visual Arts Fellowship, Emily Dierkes. Emily studied in Florence and had several solo exhibitions in her native Baltimore city, as well as displayed her works in numerous group exhibitions. Emily’s paintings are figurative and abstracted, inspired by photography, namely the Polaroid process. Today Emily finds her muse in Moscow and the history of Russian painting. In Moscow, Emily is supported with practical assistance on everyday issues and will stay at Kempinski hotel for more than 2 months, while she will be provided art studio at Solyanka gallery. More importantly, Kempinski provides the chosen candidate with a platform for her work and creativity, namely an international network. Most of all, Emily Dierkes presents her Moscow works to the public in June, 5-15 2011, when her personal exhibition is opened at the lobby of the Hotel Baltschug Kempinski Moscow. The entrance to the exhibition is free for all guests and visitors of the hotel. |
