The contest was held by the Administrative Department of Moscow Mayor and Government, with organizational support provided by GAO Moskva open joint-stock company.

Among Best Eurasian Hotels members the following companies have won the Crystal Boat 2008 prize:

• The Central House of Tourist – the leader in hotel services development and enhancement,
• The Volga Hotel – the leader in development of effective multifunctional hotel enterprise,
• Le Royal Meridien National Hotel – the best 5-star hotel in Moscow,
• The Baltschug Kempinski Moscow Hotel – the best 5-star hotel in Moscow,
• The President Hotel – the best 4-star hotel in Moscow,
• Intour-Renaissance LLC, the Renaissance Moscow Hotel – the best internationally branded hotel enterprise in Moscow,
• The Historical Hotel Sovietsky – the best 3-star hotel in Moscow,
• The Aerostar Hotel – the best implemented project of rebuilding and renovation in 2008,
• Stabilnaya Liniya closed joint-stock company, the Assambleya Nikitskaya Hotel – the leader in hotel construction preserving historical ambience,
• Yury Podkopaev, General Manager of Le Royal Meridien National Hotel – the best general manager of a 5-star hotel,
• Alexander Bobylev, Deputy General Manager of the Baltschug Kempinsky Moscow Hotel – the best top-manager of a 5-star hotel,
• Gennady Ustinov, General Manager of the Orekhovo hotel complex – the best general manager of an apart-hotel.

The special prizes established by the jury, the specialized enterprises and the public organizations were awarded for a scope of services in Moscow’s hospitality industry development:

• Hotel Minsk republican unitary enterprise of Belarus – for fruitful cooperation in performing intergovernmental agreement between Moscow and the Republic of Belarus,
• The Tourist Hotel, General Manager Petr Kriskovets – for initiative in hotel enterprise renovation.

The Crystal Boat contest has been held since 1995. Winners are given a certificate and a unique crystal boat of author’s work.

Academservice and Best Eurasian Hotels have been marked out several times by the Crystal Boat award: for the many years’ issue of the hotels of Russia, CIS Countries and the Baltic States directory annual edition; for successful realization of projects aimed at Moscow tourist and hotel complexes development; as the best partner of Moscow hotels (twice).
