The Hilton Moscow Leningradskaya hotel became the participant of Moscow cultural heritage Department project, whose purpose is acquaintance of publicity with architectural monuments of the capital.

“Way out in city” – are series of unique authors’ excursions round the historic and cultural objects, including visiting of legendary Stalin’s buildings (well-known as “seven sisters”), and Leningradskaya hotel. Due to developing interest to Moscow monuments the hotel will be opened for all guests during the whole 2012. Specialist of Moscow cultural heritage department: achitects, restorers will lead the excursions.

The Hilton Moscow Leningradskaya hotel opened in 1954 and then became the real pearl of the capital. Authors of the project Leonid Polyakov and Andrew Boretsky mixed up such different styles as barrocco of Naryshkin times, gothic and ancient Russian architecture during thу creating of indoor interiors. Some elements of design became a part of world history. For example, a famous chandelier which illuminates some stairs is mentioned in Guinness World Records as the longest bronze garland-lamp. There is a unique decoration of ceilings: carved gilt panels, painting and modeling.

The restoration project of hotel building and its transformation into modern hotel was in 2008. Nowadays Hilton Leningradskaya hotel is considerate to be a unique object that combines historical and architectural heritage of the capital and the highest standards of the international hotel.
