October 18, 2014 the theater company "Stage Entertainment" presented in Moscow theater "Russia" at the Pushkin Square musical "Beauty and the Beast": the 20th Anniversary of world distribution the famous musical celebrated on the Russian stage. Collaborating with "Stage Entertainment" for many years, Academservice with great pleasure decided to become a partner of this musical.

In the premiere evening the theater "Russia" became a magic Beast’s castle and celebrity guests in pairs and entire families were approaching the red carpet on white carriages decorated with gold, velvet and drawn by thoroughbred horses. The atmosphere of celebration was filled with magic and expectation of a miracle. And the miracle happened - despite the freezing weather, a fountain on the Pushkin Square suddenly began to work! A lot of well-known figures of culture, art and sport came to see the brilliant Broadway staging with music by eightfold Oscar winner Alan Menken. Most of the guests came with children.

The audience gave a standing ovation and, of course, the key actors received an endless sea of flowers: Anastasia Yatsenko (Belle), Pavel Levkin (the Beast), Andrey Birin (Lumiere), Anna Guchenkova (Missis Pots) and many other artists, who also participated musicals “MAMMA MIA!” and "The Mermaid".

An international creative team was working on the Russian staging: Glenn Casale – director of the original production of the "Beauty and the Beast" musical in the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Spain, France; Michael Haytsman - director, who also worked on the Paris production of the musical "Beauty and the Beast"; Ratan Javert - choreograph of musicals on Broadway and NYC Opera Billy Sprague ("My Fair Lady", "West Side Story", "The Little Mermaid", "Cats").

"Beauty and the Beast" today is a Broadway show, but also adapted for an adult audience, - director Glenn Casal said. - Since the previous staging that was six years ago the actors have become more professional and versatile, now they easily combine choreography, singing and acting. Belle, Gaston, all the actors - they are amazing, the are best of those with whom I have worked over the last ten years. They have an amazing relationship with their heroes!"

Musical "Beauty and the Beast" was a huge success in Moscow from 2008 to 2010. Staging was so popular that to get tickets was almost impossible - they were sold out months in advance. For 2 years more than 600 performances were held, attended by 700,000 spectators.
