Traditionally, the "Intourmarket" exhibition gives the official start of spring-summer tourist season for industry professionals. So this time, despite the difficult economic situation, the exhibition aroused great interest of Russian and foreign exhibitors and attracted a large number of visitors. The main difference of the jubilee exhibition was the outlined direction to domestic tourism. "Domestic tourism in Russia is developing at an incredible pace: in 2014 it showed an increase of 30%," - said the head of the Federal Tourism Agency Oleg Safonov at the opening ceremony. The Minister hopes that in 2015 the rate will be even higher.

Within 4 days, from 14 to 17 March, visitors could see a variety of Russian tourist product in one venue. More than 1,400 companies, regional governments and countries presented their programs and proposals on ITM. Russia was represented by 76 regions. Russian regional exhibition again surprised visitors with the scale and beauty of booths - the vast majority of regions from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok took a part in the exhibition. Among them a strategic partner of the exhibition - Altai region. On the booth of 1000 sq.m it demonstrated the possibility of eco-tourism in the region, crafts, folk ensembles performances and much more.

In addition, visitors were able to see stands of Krasnodar and Rostov region, the Crimea, and the Komi Republic Adygea, Vladimir, Arkhangelsk and Yaroslavl regions, the Primorsky region, and many others. Regions of the Volga Federal District, as well as last year, teamed up on a colorful booth united under the brand name "Great Volga", and the Far East and Siberian regions met together at the booth "Eastern Ring of Russia".
